OK so I have ground off the original mounts, and the seat is resting on the frame comfortably. Only thing is that where the mounting screws are supposed to go lines up perfectly with where the shock attaches to the frame! DOH... will need to come up with a different way to attach.
Outta time today... weekend is on its way!
